Tree Health

We Don't Just Remove Trees. We Keep Them.

Deep-root fertilization, health assessment and preventative care — because a mature tree is worth far more standing than it is on a truck.

Why It Matters

A Mature Tree Can't Be Replaced In Your Lifetime

A 60-year-old oak took 60 years. Removing it takes a morning. Where a tree can be treated instead of taken down, that is almost always the better outcome — for the property, for the shade, and for what the place is worth.

Deep-Root Fertilization

Nutrients injected directly into the root zone, below the turf competing for them. Urban and suburban soil is often depleted and compacted — feeding corrects what the tree can't fix itself.

Health & Risk Assessment

An ISA Certified Arborist reads the crown, trunk and root plate and tells you what the tree is actually doing. Declining, stable, or dangerous — with reasons.

Preventative Pruning

Removing dead and weak limbs before they fall. Cheaper than emergency work and far cheaper than the roof underneath.

An Honest Recommendation

If a tree is beyond saving we'll say so. If it can be kept, we'll say that too — even though removal would be the bigger invoice.

Warning Signs

When To Have A Tree Looked At

None of these mean the tree is doomed. All of them mean it's worth a look.

Thinning Canopy

Fewer leaves than neighboring trees, or light coming through where it didn't before.

Dead Limbs In The Crown

Especially toward the top. Often the first visible sign of root or vascular trouble.

Early Leaf Drop Or Small Leaves

A stressed tree sheds early and produces undersized foliage.

Fungus At The Base

Mushrooms or conks on the trunk or root flare can indicate internal decay.

Recent Construction Nearby

Trenching, grading or compaction within the root zone damages trees on a delay — decline often shows up a year or two later.

Cracks Or Cavities

Splits in the trunk or major limbs need assessing rather than guessing.

Ongoing Care

Or Let Us Watch Them For You

For homeowners, the Stumps By Dan membership includes a monthly walk of your property. Problems get found while they're still small and cheap. Commercial sites are covered by property contracts instead.

Membership starts at $25/month for properties up to 1.5 acres and 25 significant trees. Larger properties priced by tree count and acreage.
